Once Again!

Congratulations to Allan R., Eileen and Kevin on another win at the Chatterbox, a team speaking competition. This year’s topic being Saints and Sinners, the team spoke of Simon Templar, ‘The Saint’ and James Bond, ‘The Sinner’.  This brought out some interesting information, for example, did you know that in all the films, up to Quantum of Solace, James Bond himself is responsible for 352 deaths?  Simon Templer is not such a good guy either. The link between was a discussion about film and tv heroes.

This season has seen a joint meeting with the local groups in Leicestershire.  We had an educational talk about how to approach a topic session or ‘learning to give a speech with little or no notice’, then had the chance to put the ideas presented into practice.
